System specs for controlling DMX Pixel Lighting Fixtures

Hi Mitja,

if I wanted to use Lightact to primarily control Pixel Lighting Fixtures + Interactive, what hardware should I start with and what are the limitations?

I guess just to send video to pixel fixtures first then integrate interactiveness after.



It depends basically on how many universes you want to control.

The main thing to remember in terms of the performance is that the video screen or the thrower you use to map the content onto your fixtures has as small resolution as possible.

For example, if you have 50 vertical strips (each with, say, 50 RGB pixels) positioned in one horizontal line, then the resolution of your thrower or video screen should probably be around 50 x 50 pixels.
